Starlight Architecture is a small architectural design practice based in Londonspecialising in residential projects and providing design consultancy services for architectural and interior design projects such as contemporary home extensions, retrofits and refurbishments.

Starlight Architecture is unique among its contemporaries – we set out to create architectural designs that are inspired by “Space” (of the stars and the universe). We use “Space” as our resource for technical reference as well as conceptual inspiration which defines our unique approach towards design. We enjoy the challenges of transmuting the seemingly high concept of “Space” into tangible and practical design solutions that enrich daily life.

We believe every project is unique. We would investigate and analyse the context for each project to come up with informed and practical design solutions based on a good understanding of our client’s aspirations.

We are registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). We comply with the Professional Code of Conduct, ensuring our works are carried out with honesty, integrity and competency. We also maintain professional indemnity insurance for our architectural design works.

Beside of his architectural career, David has always been fascinated by subjects related to the outer space, and how human could one day live on another planets on a permanent basis. His passion for human spaceflight has led him to the field of Space Architecture – a specialist discipline which, in its simplest definition, is the theory and practice of designing and building inhabited environments in outer space. Over the years David has studied at the International Space University, participated in multiple space architecture and design workshops, and published several technical papers related to Space Architecture at the IAC and the AIAA SPACE Forum conferences. David is the Chair of the Space Architecture Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), leading in research on architectural design under extraterrestrial or extreme environmental conditions. David is also the Chief Editor for the Space Architecture community newsletter “THE ORBIT”, as well as being part of the leadership team managing the SpaceArchitect.org and the SATC website.
